SOLUTION: (A) According to Wien’s law \lambda_1 T_1 = \lambda_2 T_2 = b, from which \lambda_2 = \lambda_1 T_1/T_2 = 500 \cdot 6000/300 = 10^4 (nm) or 10 \mum.

    Just in case they don’t give you a nice example in the problem like they did here, the constant b is about 3000 microns
